Some days it was just the two of them, Shoko bailing because she had a lab, Suguru staying in to study like the nerd he was. On these occasions, Satoru would crack jokes, gauging which ones got the biggest laugh out of her. Utahime blushed easily, would dig her elbow into his side when she didn’t like his teasing. But there was an ease between them that hadn’t been there before, and Satoru felt himself wobbling a little on that invisible, precarious line, knowing he was bound to fall soon enough.

Utahime sudah tidak ingat kapan dirinya mulai membenci Satoru Gojo. Mungkin sejak pertama kali mereka berjumpa sebagai aktor dan aktris saat bermain peran bersama di sebuah film layar lebar. Mungkin sejak mereka saling melempar komentar sarkastis di pertemuan antar selebriti. Atau mungkin pula, sejak pria itu berkali-kali memandangnya dengan sorot merendahkan dari atas podium saat memenangkan penghargaan dari nominasi yang sama dengan Utahime.
Intinya, mustahil rasanya berpikir tentang Satoru Gojo tanpa membuat darah Utahime mendidih dan perutnya bergolak jijik. Pria itu adalah yang terburuk. Pria paling menjengkelkan yang pernah ditemuinya. Bahkan tanpa harus melakukan apa pun dan hanya bernapas, Satoru sangat pantas mendapat tamparan keras di wajahnya yang memuakkan dan tidak seberapa tampan itu.
