    “When the fuck was I supposed to figure it out? Because you’re talking like I knew the whole fucking time!”

    Or: Geralt doesn’t want a soulmate. But this bard somehow got the idea that he needed to be protected after getting beaten up by elves, so Geralt decided to let the bard see for himself how dangerous the path was.
    After all, if they weren’t soulmates, the bard would never be following him around… right?
