Summary
Pure Vanilla has known his fate had been set since his birth; he was to be married to Lady Azure, to ensure her families loyalties remain tied to his kingdom. As Prince, he'd made his peace with it as simply yet another responsibility to uphold. Though, he'd certainly be happier if he actually met her, and if the rumors he keeps hearing of her painted a far more flattering image. When the day finally comes, he's quite surprised to find Lady Azure is nothing as he'd expected; and he determines that he can't quite stop himself from trying to understand her, no matter how hidden she tries to remain. There's just something so strange about her; like she knows more than she lets on.

“Revoke his death sentence,” he repeats, slowly. “Or I will kill everyone in this room.”
The fools are too cowardly to die.

Summary
For the first week or so, Pure Vanilla learned to keep his mouth shut. Patience was a virtue—compassion was the key. On the second day of the second week, the jester actually attempted some form of conversation outside of the usual business or medical related jargon. It wasn't long before their shared rest period; Pure Vanilla brushed his locks at the provided desk—a trained routine.
"Your hair is short again," A statement. Accusatory. Cautious.
"Mm," Pure Vanilla traced delicate tan fingers through fading knots. "It is."
"It's really…"
"—Easy to manage," Pure Vanilla completed. "Sometimes—the weight is easier to handle when we release some burdens. While I'm able to bring it back, it'll pull and irritate the—"
"—Cracks. Right, I got it."
Pure Vanilla Cookie is sick. There's no other way to put it - his dough is crumbling. Cracks are appearing everywhere. Worse yet, Shadow Milk can feel its haunting pain. Time to fix it at Butter Roll's lab!
