Summary
Vash the Stampede is indestructible until he isn't.
Wolfwood picks up the pieces.
(Wolfwood gathers every single broken fragment he can find, painstakingly glues them back together, and wills them—Vash—to just stay put for once, dammit.)

Bookmarker's Notes
The sun laughs at you, and its child hides between its skirts. Heat licks scorching trails against your skin but you barely feel it – your body does, but you and it are separated by a pane of crooked glass, and you can't get the image projected through it to mean anything. Maybe you became even less human during your one way flight to space. Otherness has always clawed against the confines of your skin like a hurried animal, desperate to free itself, but you used to burn all the roots that crawled out of you, plucked flowers out by the stem. Cut yourself away from your molecular truth and put it out to dry. It had worked for such a long time
Vibrating oh I love this such much. The narrative voice is still strong and I love the 2nd person and structure so much

Summary
I can do that. I don’t mind–
–Louis wishes he could make him mind. That anything he does would have an effect. Not against Armand, then. That wouldn’t feel vile, like this does.
–Against Claudia, maybe? Every time he fell back into bed with Armand, was he befouling her memory? Picked another one over me–
–Louis tips the ashes of his cigarette over the balcony edge. Rests his elbows on the banister. Looks out into the city. This is how it will be now. He lights the second cigarette, and immediately craves a third. He will only allow himself the second.

Spite carried Louis forward, and spite would pull Armand behind him. They would live together or die together, whether they liked it or not. And Louis doesn’t like it
