The woods were dark. She could barely see a thing. Her only guide was the full moon, its light draped over dew-speckled leaves. She kept her eyes forward, desperate not to trip on roots, or ferns, or bushes, or whatever else was growing on the forest floor. Emily Hale had a mission she could not forsake, there's no other reason why she'd be wading through brush in the dead of night, were it not of grave importance. And grave it was, Emily was looking for a dead body.
