“His resemblance to his mother is the only reason I did not snap his neck in the cradle,” Shen Qingqiu growled. “He has his father’s eyes, and I look upon them every day and care for the child regardless. Is that not enough?”
In the side room, Shen Yuan crept over to the mirror and stared at his reflection. He knew that he looked like his deceased mother, and that the two of them could have passed for twins if she were still alive. He knew, too, that he had his father’s eyes: deep and black as a starless night, and narrowed in perpetual discontent.
If Shen Yuan were truly Shen Qingqiu’s son, he would have hated those queer black eyes, just as Shen Qingqiu did. But as a transmigrated college student from the twenty-first century, he had never cared about Shen Qingqiu's opinions, much less considered him his father.
Or: in his twenty-first year in the world of Proud Immortal Demon Way, Shen Yuan runs away, falls in love, and reunites with his mother.

What wasn't wrong? Binghe was out of the Abyss two years too early, and the plant bodies weren't ready, and Binghe had never been an omega in PIDW—which meant that whatever revenge scheme he had cooked up was so far outside of the original plot that there was no way for Shen Qingqiu to plan for it.
And then there was the fact that, despite everything, Shen Qingqiu couldn't stop noticing how good Binghe smelled.
In which Binghe is an omega (eventually), and Shen Qingqiu is an alpha (eventually), and they both manage to work things out. Eventually.

When Yoo Joonghyuk reunites with Kim Dokja in the 73rd Demon Realm, he has several orders of business: make Kim Dokja regret his actions from the tenth scenario, make Kim Dokja address his Fate from the tenth scenario, and make Kim Dokja agree to an imprint so that the likes of the tenth scenario cannot happen again.
Kim Dokja, very objectively and of sound mind, thinks that this is a bit ridiculous. An imprint between them - two alphas that hardly ever see eye to eye on anything outside of the very basics of survival - is unthinkable.
(Of course, this is ignoring the fact that Kim Dokja himself had formed a one-sided imprint on Yoo Joonghyuk a long, long time ago.)
