    What if Penelope reacted differently when Colin accused her of trapping him?

    Penelope ran away from the Ton, giving Colin what she thought he desperately wanted: his freedom. She loves him too much to allow him to be trapped in a loveless marriage with her.
    Colin never expected to lose Penelope; his anger towards her pushed her to leave him, promising he would never have to see her again.

    Thanks to the money she made as Lady Whisteldown, she fled to Greece, passing as a young widow named Anne Bridges. She is set to be a single mother and raise her child away from a society that never cared for her and from a father who would think the child is only a product of her "plan entrapment".

    Thanks to the help of his brothers, Colin will do even the impossible to get his Pen back.
