    “You’re right. You wouldn’t have taken us west, and I wouldn’t have gone into the river.”

    OR: Loki, Thor, Sif, and the Warriors Three are on a hunt in the outer forests of Asgard. When they finally land a kill, it's on the other side of a raging river. So, naturally, they choose Loki to cross: a decision that everyone will come to regret.

    Heimdall remained silent, staring intently forward, his hand placed atop Hofund’s pommel where it was sheathed on his hip. Thor furrowed his brow and stepped toward him, waving a hand in front of his face.

    “Heimdall?”

    “My king”—Heimdall’s troubled gaze drifted to meet Thor’s—“Asgard is under attack.”

    OR: Low on fuel, the Statesman is forced to stop at a nearby planet. Thor, Val, Korg, and Heimdall set out into the city, but upon finding out the Statesman is being attacked, return promptly. There, Thor finds Loki, injured critically.

    Funny how Loki has made a decision without ulterior motive for the first time in his life and yet no one would believe he did it just because he could. No one asks, anyway. Not even Thor.
