Summary
Shanks' eyes lit up brilliantly. He gently put the box down, then sprang up and threw himself into Shamrock's arms, wrapping his arms tightly around his waist and planting a kiss on his cheek with a sound like a champagne cork popping. "Shammy, you're the best! I knew you'd say yes!" Then, just as quickly, he let go, crouched back down, and carefully lifted the box, gently stroking the kitten's messy fur with his fingertips, murmuring, "Roro, we're home now. This is Sham. He's family too, you know. He'll spoil you just like I will."
Shamrock froze, his arms still seemingly holding the warmth of Shanks' body, the kiss still warm on his cheek. But his attention was entirely captured by that name.
"What did you call it?" His voice was slightly lower than usual, carrying a hint of stiffness he didn't recognize.
