Tony woke to the same damp old cave he’d woken up in last time. Except one thing is different.
There’s a boy, no older than sixteen years old, chained up in an identical wooden chair across from him. The boy is unconscious, curly hair falling in front of his eyes, head resting against his own chest.
A boy.
Not a man. Not an adult. Just a child.
In a cave, somewhere in Afghanistan with crazy terrorists who’ve already done open-heart surgery on Tony without anesthetics. Who knows what they would do, or have already done, to the boy across from him.

"Please!" Peter screamed, his voice cracking at least three times from the panic and the smoke inhalation. "My dad is in there!" He didn't even notice the slip of his tongue, too focused on trying to get away, trying to get back to save Tony.
"I'm sorry," the firefighter muttered, actually sounding pretty regretful even as he didn't release his grip on Peter. "It's not safe for you. Please, just stop struggling and I can get you to an ambulance and go back for your dad."

“Tony!” Peter screams, throwing a web that catches the edge of the disc, but it’s already too late. His web stretches, elastic against the force of the moving shield.
