Summary
“Barriss, I don’t know how we do this,” Ahsoka says quietly, looking hard at Barriss from across the bed. In her heart she means this: traveling together, on the run and pretending there isn’t something that burns so hot between them they’re both afraid to touch it—but she knows Barriss will pretend she thinks the question is about how they’re going to get off the planet. They both let the pretending go on. It’s a two player game.
Barriss breaks Ahsoka out a day before she’s supposed to go on trial for the bombings, and they flee together. They make a good team. The only problem is that Barriss still hasn’t told Ahsoka who actually bombed the Jedi temple.

Ahsoka wasn’t panicking.
She wasn’t! She was completely in control of herself and the situation.
Here were the facts: Luminara Unduli was on the Council. Anakin was on Naboo with his family. No one was allowed near the excavation site of an ancient Sith artifact except the archaeology team, for security reasons. Also, a mysterious glowing portal just ate Barriss.
The day is about to get worse—for all of them.
