Summary
In a Japan ruled by blood and silence, Akemi—a killer with a trembling gaze and bloody hands—survives as a slave to a group of ruthless hitmen. Summary
Shin has adjusted well to working at the supermarket and carrying on with an ordinary life. Well, as ordinary as life can be when there are assassins and hitman constantly trying their luck to see if they can hit the jackpot by capitalizing on Sakamoto's hefty bounty. But it isn't a big deal and they have it under control.
But the only thing Shin can't control is the strange feelings that bubble up inside him whenever he catches that menace Nagumo looking at him. Shin can't read his mind, but even a fool would notice the dark intensity swirling in the other's pitch black eyes. Shin doesn't know what frustrates him more - Nagumo's dark gaze or the fact that Shin secretly craves something more.
Until ... Shin doesn't have to wonder anymore (much to his shame).

And he’s very good at pretending. So he pretends it doesn’t hurt. Like it isn’t pulling him apart at the seams to hear those words and know they’re all lies. And it works. Until it doesn’t.

Nagumo's interest in Shin was limited to the fact that he's Sakamoto's die-hard fan. Yet, one day he overheard three ladies warned Shin that Nagumo was bad news for the Sakamoto family and Shin surpisingly defended him wholeheartedly.
Since then, Nagumo paid more attention to Shin---the way his eyes sparkled, the way he talked, the way he ate, the way he smiled and laughed. Before he knew it, he had been enraptured and Shin weird willingness to indulge his childish demands didn't help with his attachment at all.
