Somewhere along the way, Jayce made a habit of dreaming about Viktor.

Smooth fingers ran along his cheek, mapping the bones of his face. Jayce held still, letting his features be explored at the whim of this pale, slender hand. Though long and elegant, the fingers were rough, with calloused pads and ragged cuticles, speaking to a life of hard work and harder treatment.
Trailing down to his mouth, the fingers pressed against his lips. A gentle touch, soft as a breeze, but still it demanded, leaving no room for disobedience. Open.

Summary
Viktor survives Jinx's attack on Piltover's council, but his memories don't. He wakes up from the attack confused, hurt, with a mind void of memories, and with an extremely distressed (and pretty) counselor fretting over him and claiming he's Viktor's partner.
As he puzzles together the broken fragments of his being and how he fits into the seemingly equally broken world around him, he clings to the tether of his supposed partner, who seems to need Viktor just as much as Viktor needs him.
