    Docked at the shore as they were, most of the crew had left. They'd gone ashore to drink and be merry, to spend the gold they'd earned. She wasn't worried about who might have been around, because she expected to be alone for the night. She expected a near empty ship, quiet ocean air lulling her to sleep.

    It was quiet, after all. No one was supposed to be there. They were all supposed to be ashore.
