Summary
After the end of season 2, the elves are building a haven in what will become Imladris and gathering their armies to strike back against Sauron. The scar left above Galadriel's heart by the spike of Morgoth's crown is healing. They may have lost the battle, but they have not yet lost the war.
And yet sometimes that scar aches. Sometimes she hears Halbrand's voice calling to her. And when two masked figures calling themselves Gaudrim arrive from Rhûn, saying they are elves of long-lost Doriath, Galadriel will not be the only one who finds healing a more complicated thing than it first appears.
(featuring: my those-Gaudrim-are-Sindarin-elves theory, Galadriel's crown stab injury as a Morgul-wound type of thing, masks, healing, and the overlap between marriage bonds and sorcery bonds.)

Melkor's repentance was always false.
