Summary
She opens the door to her apartment, the light sound of a piano plays in the distance. He must have gotten home before she did. With a soft sigh, she takes off her work shoes and heads to the back of the apartment. She knocks on the door, a muffled ‘come in’ answers back.
She walks in to find him lying face down on their shared mattress. Sitting down she asks about his day. “Same old, same old,” He answers. “It could have been better considering what day it is…” She frowns down at him.

Summary
The request was met with silence, then a careful nod at the piano. With a soft smile and tears in their eyes, they made their way to the piano with a tiny nod. The villain sat down in the row closest to the stage as the musician made themselves comfortable in front of the instrument. They took a breath, then moved.
The beginning is always the slowest, they start with one hand. Moving to both hands the musician knows what they will play. Their unfinished symphony.
One that will remain forever unfinished.
