Uncertainty, war, and loss—that pretty much sums up the last two years of our lives. But an unexpected invitation to return to Hogwarts to finish our N.E.W.T.s held the promise of some normalcy. A chance to experience school without something going wrong for once. But this was Hogwarts, and whether it was a giant snake on the loose, an actual war, or your life getting turned upside down by a boy you most certainly weren’t meant to get involved with, there was always something.

Summary
In between shattered memories, she recalls a glint of shiny metal and a blood-colored star.
Blake is a young woman born in a secret lab who was subjected to experiments that resulted in turning her into a human weapon of mass destruction, and despite her handlers' best attempts, she isn't turned into a cold-blooded killer.
When Hydra (looking for a mysterious source of energy) attacks the secret base where Blake resides, she is inadvertently freed from her imprisonment. That's when she first encounters the infamous Winter Soldier, who attempts to kill her.
With missing memories but a distinctive fear of metal arms, Blake tries to start a new life. It's only when she pulls off a Robin Hood-esque stunt that she attracts the attention of none other than The Avengers, who are compassionate enough to take her under their wing after realizing what her story is.
