There was absolutely nothing that could go wrong. Really, there wasn’t. The only reason he kept taking brief pauses in his speech to glance at the nether corner was to see his padre’s rare smile of genuine pride. It had nothing to do with the fear that Dio would silence the giggling little boy in the third row with a swift swipe at his jugular, or that he’d loose all control and make a feast out of the hefty woman taking up two chairs two rows up and a seat to his left.

“Why?” Abbacchio’s response is shorter, more suspicious.
Giorno pushes up his sunglasses. “I,” he says simply, “am visiting family.”
