Mother have mercy.
He looked up, up, up at Ser Duncan, like he had at that dance so long ago. The tall man’s face was screwed up in fear as if he expected Lyonel to slap him. Lyonel almost did. It was either that, or start weeping, which most like would have frightened him to death.
“You're certain it could be no other?” Lyonel's voice was quiet and rumbling.
“...Ive had no other, M'lord.” Dunk whimpered.
Lyonel stepped back. Thunder clapped, somewhere beyond the walls of Storm’s End.
