It was mind-boggling “didn't you hear the forecast on TV?! You'll probably end up dead on the side of the road, succumbing to the toxins of this pouring crap!”
She kept talking, though he would have said it was more like she was screaming, continuing to squeeze his hand, not letting him take a single step back, though he didn't even try, too shocked not to act like a pillar of steel.
