They’d only done this once before— used the collar and leash. The last time Wade had tried to put it on Logan, it had ended with him holding onto it for dear life, a mockery of control over the wild animal Logan was, as he was quite literally fucked within an inch of his life.
Wade, it seems, can’t remember any of that. Probably a byproduct of the multiple traumas his head had suffered during the ordeal. Or it was the blood loss. Or, quite possibly, he is simply stupid enough to believe that this time is going to be any different.Fine by Logan.

Logan knows he is there long before he opens his eyes. His familiar smell hangs in the air all around him, has been there even before Logan fell asleep, growing heavier now with every passing minute. It feels like a cage of familiarity all around him. Logan can hear his steady heartbeat and the rustling of his clothes whenever he moves, his steps almost silent despite the heavy boots Logan remembers him always wearing. He moves like he owns the place, leisurely, unhurried, without any care or worry. Big, catlike predator, ready to pounce.

Logan is a little weirdo, Wade has come to realize.
Okay, not necessarily. By mutant standards, a lot of what Wade has witnessed from Logan over the course of these past couple months of living together would be seen as normal, all things considered. But for Wade, it’s odd. It’s odd because while there are some traits he’s come to expect out of those with mutant abilities, Logan always presented himself as relatively normal.
Well, as normal as a man with forks for hands and over two hundred years worth of unresolved mental and emotional trauma can really be. That is to say, if it weren’t for those claws, one would easily forget Logan wasn’t entirely human.
There are certain instances where Wade is quickly reminded, though.
