Summary
The world around him was awash with grey as the morning mists settled around the tourney fields. Baelor had hoped that facing Daemon would bring back sweeter memories, sweet like victory and Dornish wine and dancing with his Aunt Daenerys. Instead, the pale chill crept into his bones and brought him back to Ashford. It had been cold and sunless then, too.
To earn the name Breakspear, Baelor Targaryen defeated Daemon Blackfyre in the lists to celebrate his aunt’s wedding. Twenty-five years later: he is King Baelor II, and there is another wedding, another tourney, and another Daemon Blackfyre waiting for him.

Summary
Daeron Targaryen was cut off from the royal family two years ago. There was to be no contact, no money, no mention in the holiday broadcast.
His family didn't seem to read the same legal notice he'd been forced to sign.
Aerion keeps wiring money that freezes his bank account. Aegon tracked him down to the coffee shop he works at now. And his married cousin, Valarr, keeps showing up after dark at his Flea Bottom apartment.
Daeron would like everyone to stop. He would especially like to mean it.
His coworker, Dunk, who is usually incredibly patient about everything, is tired of cleaning up the chaos they leave in Daeron's life. He's going to do something about it, and no, that's not because he's in love with Daeron or anything like that.Bookmarked by QueenBeira

Summary
There’s something else, though, underneath that hard, steady gaze. The slightest blink, the barest shine that Baelor hasn’t seen since the night before Redgrass Field all those years ago, when neither one of them were certain they were going to survive the next day.
“Don’t do anything foolish,” Maekar had said as they shared a flagon of wine beneath the night sky that would give way to a bloody dawn.
And Baelor had given him a pat on the shoulder and a smile that didn’t meet his eyes.
“Nor you, valonqar. Not until I get there, at least.”
Now, kneeling in the dirt in armor that doesn’t quite fit him right, his brother’s labored breathing louder than it has any right to be, Baelor thinks of the foolish decisions that have led them both to this point.
OR: the Trial of the Seven still goes wrong, and Prince Baelor Targaryen learns that even honorable actions can have terrible consequences.

Summary
He's never been much of a knight, much of anything at all other than a drunk embarrassment to the Targaryen name, but still he reaches for his own sword, pulling it from it's sheath.
Daenys the Dreamer had a father who believed in her. Maybe here, maybe now in Ashford's muddy tournament grounds, surrounded by blood and fog, Daeron could guide his father into finally believing him.
Held tightly in his clammy, trembling palms, only inches away from his father, Daeron lifts his sword.
or; Daeron is granted the mercy of a clearer dream. It doesn't make things easier at Ashford, nor what comes after.
