Summary
It starts with an offhand comment. Something he barely catches.
“See you next week, Phantom.”
It drags Danny to a halt. He hovers over the school, locking eyes with his teacher, Mr. Lancer. There's a small, knowing smile on his face that has dread pooling in his core.
He opens his mouth to reply— shuts it. With a shake of his head, Phantom darts off for the open air. Just one quick lap before returning to school.
It does little to clear his head.
