Everything was fine, everything is fine. But the electric crackling under his skin won’t let him rest. And he’s just about to burst into tears at any moment because it just won’t stop.
(I struggle with overstim because of my ADHD and Anxiety and I decided to project all of that onto my favorite turtle. Mikey! So please note that what I write in this is my personal experience with how I deal with overstimulation and touch aversion.)

Summary
There’s a whisper of a sigh and a brief icy tap against the skin over his heart.
“You were lonely,” Damian realizes and earns an approving hum. “I see. I… understand that as well. I was lonely here at first.”
He hesitates a moment before holding his hands out, palms facing up. Cold enfolds them in the feeling of large hands. They squeeze gently, so real and so genuine that Damian can practically see them, too.
“But I’m not anymore,” he says and squeezes back. “Not since I met you.”
Damian has never been more lost since coming to Gotham. He finds belonging in the most unexpected of places.

The shadow of a man steps into the opening of the alley, a familiar red helmet, a bat stretched across a broad chest. His guns are in hand and pointed right at them until Damian is shoved behind his brother’s taller figure.
“Don’t make this harder than it has to be, Dick. Give back the brat and this doesn’t have to end badly.” Jason drawls.
