Summary
Fresh from his date with Makima, Denji finds himself torn. On one hand, his life has improved more than he could have ever imagined: Aki is beginning to warm up to him, Power hasn't tried to kill him this week, and working under Makima was like a dream come true! However, despite all of this, he still finds himself plagued by doubts. Does he have a heart? Can he love anyone? Could anyone love him?
It was just meant to be another mission for Reze, a simple undercover operation to ensnare and capture the Public Safety rookie with a devil for a heart. What she didn't expect was to find her self enjoying the mundane life of a waitress and, increasingly, the company of the boy who was meant to be her target. The flirting is still all just an act... right?As their happy routine rapidly hurtles towards conflict, both Denji and Reze will be left at a crossroads with tough choices ahead. Though maybe it can take just one decision to change a bleak future?

The fiend scowled and stomped her feet into the damp ground. "I have business stuff to do too! Important business and it's on a need to know basis so don't even ask!"

Before Chainsaw Man, it was just Pochita and Denji—two souls struggling to eke out an existence under the weight of an impossible debt. They had eachother, and they figured that was enough. But when various people see fit to invade their lives, demanding he learn things like hygiene, or nutrition, or the warmth of a hug and a homecooked meal, their lives get a whole lot more complicated.
But, hey, maybe having a family wasn't such a bad thing to get used to?

Summary
After a gruelling battle of wits and endurance, Denji and Reze find themselves on the beach after a close call with death.
Reze departs with a message of hate and spite, stating she never loved nor cared for him.
And Denji?
He just thinks it's a load of bullshit!
