It hasn't been easy, but she bears it so that her people don't have to. That is the role of a leader. Yet this- this ancient magic burning into her from their bound palms, this permanence at tying herself to this stranger - this might somehow be her undoing.

Clarke has always carried the responsibility for her people, even when they've never deserved it. I had this idea and it's been a weird mish mosh inspired by Outlander and the similarities between Jamie and Claire and Bellamy and Clarke. Oneshot for now~ -
