Would your mother’s smile be worth it?” They ask, genuinely intrigued.

Summary

“Oh,” They snicker, head tipped to one side. “Feeling bold, are we?”
“Shut up,” He hisses, and they shrug loosely. “It looks good, Alchemist,” Truth whispers, teeth so white against the dark of the room. They look just as ethereal as the day he first saw them. “It isn’t often you’re as assertive.”
“I like that,” They continue, gaze never leaving his. There are no eyes to watch him, no pupils to slit or irises that shimmer like the sun. Just simply smooth skin and soft ivory that makes his blood so cold. “It makes you look a little firmer. A little less afraid.”
