Summary
Ash Ketchum was most of the way through his Johto Pokemon Journey when he tried out a magic potion intended to let him understand Pokemon better.
It certainly did that, though it also had some unintended effects that indicate he's got a very strange family history that even his mother isn't really able to elaborate on.Now in a new body as a Pokemon that nobody can quite recognize, mostly because Mythical Pokemon aren't very well studied, Ash's first step is to work out how to carry things again. His second step is to continue his quest to be a Pokemon Master!
Everyone else seems to think there should be more steps than that.

Summary
Yagi Toshinori watched the green haired boy walk away after saving his friend and shook his head. While the boy's actions were heroic, he was just too reckless. He walked in the opposite direction, thinking about a time he could meet the candidate Sir Nighteye put forward.
Izuku Midoriya goes home and decides that, even if he can't be hero himself, he can still help them with his analysis. Cue Izuku catching the attention of multiple heroes who are a little more open-minded and willing to see the potential in a quirkless kid.

The night before his journey was about to begin, Ash found a phone that put him in a group chat with a bunch of people who just so happen to all have the same names as the champions. Surely that won't change his journey too much, right?
Meanwhile, a few regions away, a young girl named Kate finds a similar phone right before she enrolls in the Pokémon Ranger school of Almia. Being in a group chat with the champions and a boy who gets into more trouble than anyone ever should be fun, at the very least. MW: How.When Ash Ketchum was to set off on his journey across Kanto, the legendary Pokémon of the world were very interested to see how it would go. Arceus set a very simple ground rule: Nobody was to interfere. Ash was to have a normal journey without their shenanigans getting in the way. Of course, then they all found out that Ash had been freely chatting with the Kanto legendaries for nearly two months, some of them just couldn't leave well enough alone, and by the time Ash's journey was three weeks in he'd already indirectly saved the world. Things... kind of spiralled out of control from there.
Or: the legendary Pokémon have a chatroom and discuss disrupting canon as much as possible.
Alternatively or: the Ash Ketchum group chat that existed before any of his human friends ever joined.
