Summary
For packs who are truly lucky, they will have a triad leading them, the mates of three versus of two, a Queen, a General and a Pacifist. These matings are very rare, and often only between those touched by the Gods- either by their blood or blessed by them- most commonly both. The three offer a doubling of strengths as well as a clearer division of labor. The Queen brings wisdom and strength, the General is cunning and loyal, and the Pacifist healing, diplomacy, and creativity. This is why the Cephellians prospered, for they were ruled by such a triad, all three blessed by the Goddess Athena to help them fulfill and nurture the gifts she gave to the ones who proved themselves to her.
The Warrior and Pacifist have been away from their kingdom and pack for 17 long years. After nine days on constant vigil, clinging to their final chance to go home, Odysseus is thrown into an out-of-cycle heat. Despite Zeus' warnings, Poseidon decides to attack, to breed Odysseus and force him to give him a son to replace the one he injured.
