Not sure if anyone could ever…”He stumbled over his words a bit before trailing off, rubbing his fingers through his short cropped hair before resting his forehead against his palms.
“Could ever what, sir?” you leaned forward in your chair and watched him. He looked uncomfortable, anxious almost.
