“You should see the girls that approach me, T. They are quite vocal about how much they’d like to” - Hayley said as she recalled the type of comments she had heard recently. The way he was looking lately was definitely not helping - they would talk about how handsome he looked and about how his voice sounded so sexy these days.
“How much they’d like to do what? To go on a date with me?” - he sounded a bit incredulous, as if he was talking about someone else rather than himself.
“Well, among other things that I’d rather not repeat out loud”
“Nah” - he just dismissed her comments. He usually didn’t care much about this type of attention from fans anyway. Never had. - “Not so sure, Hayles”
“Well, unless you leave the house you cannot see for yourself”
“Eventually I will. For now I am more than happy to spend my days writing with you” - he told her with a smile. A genuine smile that caused a strange feeling in her stomach as she realised it was directed solely at her.

“So you’re Ben’s mum, hm? We all thought it was that gothic sixteen-year-old.” She laughs and Hayley presses her lips together, “No, that’s his sitter.”
“Hm.” The woman simply nods, “Well, me and Bayley are off for some coffee. Want to join us?”
Hayley forces a smile, “Thank you for the offer, but I have to get to work. It was nice to meet you.” She shoots an awkward wave and turns around, stopping dead in her tracks when she near bumps into Taylor.
“Hi.” She goes to stride past him but Taylor stops her, turning around with her, “Nice outfit.”Hayley rolls her green eyes turning to face him, “Look, I could really do without all those comments of yours. I thanked you for looking after my son on Friday, there’s really no need for you to behave like that.”
Taylor frowns, taking a step closer, “Excuse me?”
“You heard me.” She stands her ground, “I know you think you’re better than me. And you probably are. Sue me for working a lot so I can provide for my kid. Sometimes it happens that I lose track of time or that I cover a shift.” She bites before turning around and stomping off.
