Summary
As they are recovering from the aftermath of their fall into the Atlantic and the start of their new life together, Will takes note of a pattern of strange, brief aberrations in Hannibal's behavior. Moments—usually anywhere from a few seconds to a few minutes—when Hannibal becomes… different. Quieter, more shy, clingy.
Though they intrigue him from the start, it isn't until months later that Will comes to realize what those moments signify.

Summary
Post-fall, Hannibal struggles to deal with an influx of nightmares. Concerned, and with Hannibal refusing to acknowledge the issue with more than a passing comment, Will is forced to take matters into his own hands.
"It was like Will was living with two different Hannibals. Two different Hannibals, and neither of them were doing very well.
Will was concerned.
Concerned because Hannibal wasn’t sleeping, concerned because he wasn’t healing, concerned because it seemed as though Hannibal had suffered some kind of mental break, to the point that daytime-Hannibal wasn’t even aware of nighttime-Hannibal’s existence.
As another week passed without change, Will began to fear that some of this could be permanent. If he could just get nighttime-Hannibal to get some more sleep (because daytime-Hannibal absolutely refused to nap, no matter how tired he was), maybe then he could begin to recover."

Summary

Summary
The first petals appeared mere days after Hannibal had received the news of Will’s marriage.
Alana had been the one to tell him, looking insufferably smug, not even trying to pretend that she didn’t enjoy seeing the brief flicker of jealousy and grief on Hannibal’s face before he got his placid mask back in place.
Though the abrupt delivery of this news had caught Hannibal off-guard, the news itself wasn’t completely unexpected—Hannibal had yet to receive any correspondence from Will since he had surrendered. Clearly, Will was determined to play the losing game of denying himself his true nature for as long as he possibly could.
But that was fine. Will could play house, could put together his apple pie family with no place for Hannibal in it, for as long as he wanted. Hannibal could wait. He would wait months, years, decades if that’s what it took. Will would come crawling back to him eventually, Hannibal was certain—it was just a matter of waiting him out.
So no, the news of Will’s marriage had not surprised him.

Summary
Will Graham is a dog lover, a professor at Quantico, a criminal profiler, and maybe a little bit unstable. He is also an Omega. Forced to hide his secondary gender in order to keep his independence, Will maintains a largely reclusive lifestyle and is content with being alone with no one but his dogs for company. Or at least he was content until the FBI, concerned about his mental stability, force him to see a psychiatrist in order to keep his profiling position: Dr. Hannibal Lecter.
With a strange new killer entering the scene at the same time the Chesapeake Ripper decides to make a reappearance, it is the worst possible time for Will to have to find himself a new Heat Suppressants supplier. So when his current supplier gets arrested, Will finds himself having to take increasingly drastic measures to keep his secret safe and his freedom intact. But Hannibal has a few secrets of his own, and the order in which Will finds them out will change both of their lives forever... for better or for worse.
