Summary
“Daisy?” She asked in a sleepy voice, rubbing at her eyes. “Hey, everything ok?”
“I um. No, I mean yes. I mean kind of?” Daisy stuttered out. “You said I could um, come here if I needed… I don't know, help?” Her voice wavered, wanting to simply die on the spot, begging the earth to swallow her up.
Her gaze flicked towards the floor and she examined a spot on the ground with great interest instead of looking the other woman in the eyes while her cheeks blazed with something that felt an awful lot like shame. Bobbi seemed to wake up a bit as she studied Daisy with a concerned look.
“Do you want to come in? We can talk in my bunk. I always have room for you rockstar”

Summary
Tess reaches out, places a hand on Ellie’s shoulder to let her know she’s there, expecting her to be relieved. To be glad Tess is alive and that she doesn’t have to try and find her again, that they can just hurry up and leave this awful place-
What she’s not expecting is for Ellie to scream out no, to push her away and hit at her chest and arms with loose, frantic fists. She doesn’t expect Ellie to lurch backwards, so strongly that Tess nearly loses both her grip and her balance.
“Get off of me!” She shrieks, and Tess hasn’t ever heard her sound like that - not when they were being chased by infected, not even when she was bitten for the second time. And, in a terrifying and horrifically familiar sort of way - Tess recognises the fear in her eyes. Something cornered and vulnerable and scared.

Seven wanted to press herself into her captain, disappear into the safety of her body, but simultaneously felt the overwhelming urge to rip herself away and run. Distantly she knew that one cannot escape themselves, but oh, how she wished it were possible.
She sways in the panicked fray. A frigid burn swiftly creeps through her veins, filling her lungs, seizing scorched neurons, flashing blindly behind her eyes.
