“K-I-N-A-R-D,” Tommy hears Evan say for the half-dozenth time in an hour and he suppresses a smile, because he knows Evan is supremely frustrated but also, the reason he’s spent the last hour on the phone is because of his name and Tommy loves it. He finishes doctoring the cup of coffee he’s brewed for Evan and brings it back to the table to listen. Evan shoots him a little smile, cupping Tommy’s face in gratitude as he sets the mug in front of him.
Or: Buck and Tommy are newly married and Buck is trying to change his name. It's not going well.
