Summary
Crunch… crunch… crunch… was one of the few sounds that could be heard as the boy walked through the snow. The frigid wind billowed, staggering the boy, who, due to his frailty, collapsed into a heap of snow. It stung against his bare arms. The boy had long lost the tracksuit that kept him from freezing completely, having been mugged off of him in exchange for his own life. The boy had practically nothing to his name anymore. Hell, he barely even remembered his own name, the frigid cold having numbed his mind. The only thing he felt now was fear. Fear enraptured the boy until it was all he knew.
What if the Envy route wasn't the canon story, but a darker story, like the IF stories we are familiar with? The boy known as Natsuki Subaru leaves everything behind, leading him down a dark path. How far will his Envy take him? Will he die, satisfied with his own death? Or will he become the very thing that destroys the entire world?

Summary
Natsuki Subaru finally gives up after failing to save those he cared so much for over and over, and runs away to live a life different from what he began. Same premise as the Natsuki Rem IF story but Natsuki runs away alone instead. Similar events to the IF story happen earlier on and characters portrayed that are not from the anime may not be 100% accurate as I have only read the Oboreru IF and Natsuki Rem IF's and am anime only otherwise. Season 2 hype!

This is (or is going to be) a small collection of Re:Zero Oneshots with Subaru being weirdly capable because of his otherworldly concepts and some interactions other than or outside Emilia Camp. (There are simply not enough fanfics that focus on Subaru's interaction outside Emilia Camp).

Honestly? She didn’t know what she was doing. If someone had told her she’d become attached enough to adopt a child she would have assumed they were joking, or that they’d gone mad. Now though? She couldn’t say it was a decision she regretted.
