  Summary

  It was in this world of chained gods and thought-surveillance state that Natsuki Subaru lived. A student of San Tokyo Psionic Academy, Subaru, like his parents, is psionic and has massive mental energy that he inherited from his father, but he has a limited range in will projection. He cannot project willpower beyond the layers of his skin. He cannot lift a pencil with thought alone. In a world of telekinetic gods, he was functionally disabled. Thus he was called affectionately, Defective Battery.

  Despite Subaru’s mental maturity and growing resilience through daoist practices, a Class-D psionic with massive reserves of mental energy would make others wonder where that energy is being allocated if not through his non-existent Absolute Territory? To anyone’s discovery, Subaru isn’t using mental energy into himself but is leaking it like a dead battery. Wasting his potential due to his own subconscious self-loathing disabling him from ever utilizing his max reserves. Thus, he was crowned the nickname “Defective Battery.” Unable to realize his full potential as a theoretical Placebo God.
  But what if he did realize his full potential?
  Then this is where his story starts.

  Summary

  Subaru's Isekai adventure has never been easy as the world is set on the highest difficulty setting and the first boss is a gut-loving sadistic assassin who's not afraid to throw those hands. Equip with nothing but a shopping bag, his idiocy, and a hack called Return by Death, Subaru is well on his way towards a happy ending through unlimited suffering.

  So what if we gave our boi here a sword in the beginning? And that sword is equipped with common sense and is not afraid to tell Subaru that he's an idiot? What if that sword is as strong as Reinhard and is not afraid to throw those hands? What if that sword had a mysterious past of its own? and what if that sword had interior motives for helping Subaru to become the greatest knight?
