Summary
There's no eggplant in the paper. There is, however, Monkey D. Luffy, splashed on the front page. He looks like he's praying, in front of what Zeff assumes is his brother's grave, and there is something written and crossed and written again on his arm. The letters and numbers don't mean anything. Or maybe they do, and Zeff is just not who the message is for.
Once again, Luffy is alone. Or he's not, not really, because he came back to Marineford with Gold Roger's first mate and a former Warlord, somehow. But once again, his crew isn't with him. In Zeff's book, that means he's alone.
Zeff wonders where Sanji is. Whether Sanji is still alive.

Summary
Luffy grows up with divinity blazing like the sun under his skin. Wherever he walks, he leaves people split open, bleeding, and falling to their knees- in death, worship, fear, rebirth- but he is selfish to the core. He has not come to save the world, or condemn it, only to find what is his and protect it.
(A god is only as holy as their worshipers. Nakama is a prayer, freedom is their mantra, and those Luffy claims as his are not left unchanged by this.)

Summary
In which Alastor realizes he committed a bit too hard to the whole found-family gag, gets fucked up by the First Douchebag, and tries to pretend everything is fine. Shockingly, Charlie is not oblivious. Even more shockingly, the person she goes to for help is Vox.
This turns out to be a case of using the wrong equation but still getting the correct answer.
