Ben sighed and looked out the window, lowering the Lady Whistledown pamphlet to his lap and leaning in for his cup of tea. He sipped it slowly, the hot liquid cooling to just the right temperature over the last five minutes he spent pouring over the slip of parchment in his large hands. He ran his fingers over it for a moment, his index finger lingering on the name of the mysterious author.
He chuckled darkly at the word “mysterious,” since ironically - just last night - he discovered the infamous author’s identity, and he never would have guessed it in a thousand years.
