It all started like many stories shouldn’t – on a Reddit thread. Kara had been scrolling through her feed, laughing at videos of puppies and ogling photos of delicious looking hamburgers when a post came up that caught her attention. It was a picture of Supergirl wearing her skirt next to a picture of her wearing her new pants. The caption simply read, Thoughts?.

This is a slow burn that's turning out to be more plot than smut (sorry, I really didn't intend that, it just kind of happened), so reader beware. It's more of a universe with alterations rather than an AU. I'll try to update tags as I go along. Updates are slow, but I promise I'm still working on it!

Her breath left her body, eyes unfocusing as the realization began thrumming through her veins. The idea had been there, obviously, that she’d woken up in some parallel world to her own. Shauna’s ghost visage, who’d yet to reappear, said as much in her own cryptic way. She was evidently supposed to see Shauna again, which she thought meant she was about to die.
And maybe she did.
Her hand came up to her chest, feeling for her own heartbeat. It was there, steady and clear. Wherever she was, Jackie Taylor was alive, and whatever world she’d been zapped into had a living, breathing Shauna.

If Jackie were being careful… that would mean she’s thinking about this, like, really thinking about it, the same way Shauna is.
And that feels impossible.
Because even worse, it’s happening in private places. Places where Shauna has no excuse to react the way she does. No excuse to jump; to jerk away, flushed, as if she’s afraid someone might see. As if a playful pat on the ass stings like a wasp. But it does. It feels like it does, anyway.
Her saving grace is that Jackie doesn’t seem to have noticed how fucking weird Shauna’s being about all this.
