Summary
Memory guides him through the motions of it: gauntlets and then braces, slipping off some smith’s masterwork and tossing it to the side like so much chaff, pausing now and then to let Lyonel kiss him until the air is gone from his lungs and his head is swimming from the lack.
The first day of jousting opens splendidly.

Summary
He should be on his way. He has to search the sea of merchants for an armorer; he has to find the coin to buy armor, which will mean finding someone willing to offer a decent price for Sweetfoot; he has Egg back at camp, and though Dunk was younger than him the first time the old man left him to see to the needs all men have, it would be poorly done to leave the boy too long by himself.
He should be on his way, but he lets Lyonel take him by the arms.
No kind of armor can shield Dunk from the dark and searching eyes of Lyonel Baratheon.

Summary
“Well, what you said was – a hundred gold. To the man who sticks you best.”
That peaked Ser Lyonel’s interest at last. He had a wild look about him, gazing up at Dunk through a cascade of salt-and-pepper curls, skin blushed from drink and glistening with sweat.
“Man. Beast. God. A giant, perhaps.”
"Yes, but –" Dunk tried to swallow down the nerves in his throat, “What’d I have to do for that? To stick you best.”
Lyonel’s lips split into a grin that bared his teeth, a flash of white in the dark.
“You think you can take the likes of me, lad?”
Dunk is completely oblivious to Lyonel coming onto him, until he isn’t.
Or: many metaphors fit both fighting and fucking in somewhat equal measure.

Summary
“Well?” Ser Lyonel chuckles.
“Well ser?” Dunk parrots, confused. The lord barks another laugh.
“Go on then, after her,” he smirks with a shooing motion. Dunk blushes a hearty red.
“Oh- uh no, no milord I should not,” he stutters out.
“Why ever the hell not?”
Duncan has no response beside more blushing and stuttering. Which it seems is response enough.
Ser Lyonel leans forward again, catching Dunk’s gaze from where he’d lowered it— a wild and delighted smile slowly dawning across his face. Dunk feels his blush reach his ears. I’ve been kissed before, he means to protest, but it sounds childish even in his mind.

Summary
“Do I really have to spell it out?” Rook lifts a brow — and all of a sudden, it is not anger which animates his features, but slyness, like a stoat in pursuit of a hare. “The age gap, it’s a turn-on. And not only for me, I think. You get off on it too.”
At that, all of Emmrich’s internal organs seem to squirm. Quite a curious sensation, really.
“I beg your pardon?”
In which that Act Three argument goes a touch different.
