    Summary

When Spock had initially come to Earth as a show of how the two cultures, Vulcan and human, could work together in complete synchrony, he was utterly enamored by the culture that surrounded him. Even his young mind had been utterly surprised that such a savage society had managed to reach warp. But the older he gets, the more logical he becomes, the more he continues to find the flaws in the culture his mother comes from. The dinners feel useless, the speeches become forced, and the classes he attends at a human university feel dull.

Until the lead singer of the Earth Band 'Enterprise', the son of his father's coworker, starts singing about quickened pulses at regal dinners and green-blooded aliens.

Maybe that happens to draw his attention.
    ----

TLDR: What if the Federation was started in the late 1990s and Spock, a half-human prince from another planet, found himself at the center of a singer's affection?

    Summary

A bright yellow canvas canopy extended out over the doorway, yellow dags embroidered alternately with a single white flower and a steaming mug. Hanging lights in a dull orange color flickered to life as Spock approached, the photocells reacting to the evening’s fading light and giving the storefront a hazy glow, likely meant to evoke a sense of coziness and comfort in its patrons. White lettering on the front window with excessive curling in the font declared this to be the Lazy Daisy Cafe.

In which Professor Spock meets a curiously intelligent blond barista, and his life is irrevocably changed...

    Summary

Jim Kirk wasn’t supposed to have a roommate at Starfleet Academy—especially not a Vulcan one with too much discipline and zero tolerance for chaos. But what begins as a bureaucratic error turns into late-night debates, entirely too much eye contact, and four years of shared space neither of them really wants to give up. Spock documents everything. Jim leaves snarky annotations. Somewhere between the arguments and the quiet cups of tea, something real begins to form.

Love, as it turns out, is just a series of annotated behavioral logs waiting for a final conclusion.

    Jim writes the last entry.
    Spock signs it: yes.

    Summary

Jim manages a real laugh this time, brief but genuine, before it fades into the familiar ache. “Why does this keep happening, Bones? I loved Gary. And I thought he loved me back.”

He's left wondering why his relationships always end with him heartbroken and feeling like nothing more than a pretty face. He tries so hard, yet the outcome is always the same.

He should just focus on his studies and give up on the whole love thing.
