Summary
He should sleep.
The good Lord knows it—Eywa knows it. He needs it.
But every time he closes his eyes, something tears open in his mind.
Tom—dead on concrete, still in that cardboard box, burning in the incinerator seconds later.Venezuela—Davis, Reed, the goddamn comms boy with half his face off.
Tsu’Tey—bleeding out on the grass, that soft breath that stopped, the way the light dimmed in his eyes.
He nearly didn’t come back.
And Jake... Jake nearly didn’t get to be here. To have this. This family.
This peace.
And peace is the scariest part.
Because he’s never trusted it to last.TL;DR—Tsu’Tey had fallen asleep easily, one arm still draped protectively around Neteyam, hand resting on the tiny rise of his son’s chest.
Jake, on the other hand, is wide awake. Again.Bookmarked by SparkleAngels

Jake would've never believed you if you told him ten years ago he'd be on a whole-ass planet, starting a whole-ass family, celebrating his first of many birthdays—as a blue cat alien, as a husband, as a dad.

Summary
In an effort to make amends, Ao'nung saves Lo'ak during a nearing storm. He just wants Neteyam to look at him again, to have their friendship back. To have that warm presence near and undiminishing, like a habit that he fails to correct no matter the change. He misses him so badly.
Perhaps Eywa grants him a wish when they are forced to take shelter in an island not so far off, huddling close together for more than warmth: the truth.

Summary
Being the chief’s son comes with its benefits. Ao’nung has always gotten away with the trouble he gets himself in, never learning how to apologise. But after causing his parents problems he’s forced to apologise to the Sully family. Everything seems unfair at this moment, everyone has turned on him, he’s no longer his father’s main priority and his actions have consequences. Fed up with everything the only reasonable thing at this time seems to be a night walk by the shore. And an unexpected encounter with Sully’s firstborn son?
