   Summary

   “I love you,” Nick says, unable to bear the silence any longer, “I love you so much.” Charlie’s breath hitches, tears welling up as he squeezes Nick’s hand.

   “Why?” The fractured word leaves his lips unbidden, instantly clicking his jaw shut looking away. He tries to pull his hand away too, but Nick doesn’t let go, instead returning the crushing grip Charlie just had.
