this was an oddly delightful read! not meaning this in a comparative sense but generally foundational HDG fics more Interest me than they pull me in- this one however i genuinely fell in love with!!

Summary

Her legs wobbled and folded and she crawled. She got her mittens dirty, then took them off and touched Dess’s face. Her sister’s skin was soft and slack and cold. Not dry. Not hard. Just… cold.
