    Changbin turned his head again, almost unwillingly, and met Chan’s eyes. There was no mistaking it. The stiff posture, the tight jaw. They were both thinking the same thing.

    This wasn’t going to end here. Not tonight.

    He swallowed hard, watched Chan do the same.

    They could do something about it. Tell the others to clear out, herd everyone upstairs with the promise of more drinks or a change in playlist. Give Jisung and Minho the privacy they clearly weren’t going to ask for themselves. That was the reasonable option.

    And yet…
