SPOILERS FOR SEASON 4 VOLUME 2:
Ps. this is a somewhat cheesy fic bc i wrote it when i was emotional and coping so if its a little fast paced im sorry! im going to try and even it out a little in the next couple chapters.
“Steve…” Dustin grabbed his hand gently,
“He wanted me to give this to you.” he snaked a small trinket into Steve’s hand, closing it and patting his fist, releasing both of his hands.
Steve opened his palm, seeing a glint of metal resting in the center. When he realized what it was he choked back on his tears- feeling a wave of grief pierce through him. It was Eddie’s favorite ring- the gemstone one.
It fit perfectly.
OR
Eddie survives and Steve only finds out a year later, when they reunite Steve finally gets the courage to tell him what he'd been wanting to say all those months without him.
