Chat Blanc had played his hand, he was done waiting for Adrien to take action. He bided his time and now he can fully interact with the world, he wasted no time in 'helping' is other self.
If you wanted to know how exactly Chat Blanc ended up how he did, here's my version of his origin story.

One day Adrien meets someone claiming to be him from an alternative timeline, only this person calls themselves Chat Blanc. Adrien is the only person who can see or hear him and Chat Blanc has taken it upon himself to situate himself into his life.
After some convincing Adrien reluctantly agrees to let Chat Blanc join him and his friends at Marinette's house for a hangout.

A voice from behind replied sarcastically; “Like that would make Gabriel more tolerable.”
Adrien screeched embarrassingly loud and fell backward, landing hard against the concrete pavement. He looked up to find… himself?
