You're already pressed as far back as you can go - the wall is cool against your hot skin; inflamed with adrenaline after this stranger appeared in your room. You refuse to appear as terrified as you feel, but even with unwavering eye contact and a chin held high with indignation, you feel the familiar flutter of terror at incoming close contact.
