Summary
There was a point when Robert was a hero. He was helping people, trying his best to be good and do good. But at some point he abandoned that path, turning to the life of villany. He has to navigate a complicated relationship with the man that murdered his father on top of infiltrating SDN as a part of the Phoenix Program. His growing affections for the team of misfits, especially one of them, aren't helping. Robert isn't seeking redemption, but it may find him anyway.

And this mantle falls to him to pick up.

When Elliot Connors shot Robbie Robertson, Robert was only 11 years old. Instead of going to therapy or continuing schooling. Robert dedicates himself to becoming Mecha Man in his father’s absence. This leads to a 15 year old Robert being the Mecha Man that the SDN and Team Z will have the misfortune of dealing with.

After his aunt and uncle were murdered Peter was put into foster care. Too many neglecting and abusive homes later he runs to live on the street. He knows he is smart and will make it work.
And he did. Successfully for over a year now.
In all this time he did the thing he never wanted to do again, he let people in. Even though he loves his friends he doesn’t tell them who he is under the mask. They know Spider-Man and that is more than enough.
Because he knows they wouldn’t want a fifteen year old homeless teenager with trauma piled to the moon in their lives. So the mask stays on.
