Aziraphale closed his eyes and concentrated on sending as much holy energy into Crowley's body as he could without hurting the demon further.
“You called.”, he mumbled after a few moments of silence, but Crowley was already gone when he let his eyes roam back down to the other. “Of course I did.”

Crowley gets stabbed with a holy blade while Aziraphale is sorting business out in Heaven and when he realizes he probably won’t make it, he prays to see his angel at least once more before he dies.
Aziraphale, upon finding Crowley in a puddle of his own blood, decided to show Heaven the metaphorical middle finger and take all of his vacation days at once to nurse the demon back to health and maybe figure out what he really wants on the way.
